Fortunate Sum, a good read, Good love story.
With out giving away too much, Lady love, finds lady love,
Loses Lady love, recovers Lady love, great romantic ending.
If your into good love stories, this is IT!
Similar to another reviewer, I almost did not buy this book because the plot seemed too similar to many others. Was I ever wrong! I also thought it would be a typical Bold Strokes Book with a focus primarily on the more athletic, toned, taller, workaholic, stoic, butch (but ambiguously so) lead, Catherine. To my surprise, the author pays equal attention to the more emotionally-accessible and mature, non-athletic (and proudly so), grounded, and definitely feminine Imogene. When a writer can make me feel anger, sadness, and frustration, as well as excitement, joy, and hope, she has earned a five star rating regardless of minor and entirely forgivable issues with plot and characterization. Both characters are unforgettable, one because she reminds us too much of who we are and the other because she is the woman we long to have in our lives as friend, lover, partner, wife. And thank you, Ms. Ullrich, for reminding those of us who crushed badly on one of our college professors, how wise that professor was for not acting on her student's infatuation with her.
Usual fare but there were a few little details, sentences and character traits that were different and made it an enjoyable read.
M. Ulrich uses her skills as a writer to paint a vivid picture of pain, sadness, loss, and love. She makes the reader feel like they are directly involved in the story. I highly recommend this book, I found my self cheering them on as I read.
Fun story and well written with suspense, love, forgiveness and a little humor.
It took all of 10 words for me to get into the story. Forced to put it down for a while, I was back into it in seconds. A great story with vivid characters and some good laughs.
This was a great story. Didn't have a lot of high drama and endless sex. It was believable, funny, warm and an easy read. I like this author.
